It’s Monday morning, and I’m not going to work. Reality has hit. Last Friday, May 16th was my final day of work. I was in medical sales with the same company for the past 4+ years. During those years, I had the opportunity to meet and work with an abundance of wonderful people. And during the previous week, I had to say goodbye to all of them. 🙁 Several of my colleagues treated me to “farewell” lunches throughout the week though, and it was nice to get together before I left.
One of my colleagues/friends gave me this sweet card (with a bottle of champagne!):
Both of my managers also gave me incredibly thoughtful gifts! One of them was a care package for the road consisting of snacks, a book, a bottle of wine and lots of bath & body products (the perfect road trip gift!):
The other one was slightly intimidating (I won’t lie, I thought it was a vibrator at first and didn’t know quite how to respond…haha!). But then my manager explained that it’s actually for the car and is similar to this Road Trip Auto Tool. It’s a flashlight and has a glass-breaking tool to break a window if you’re trapped inside the car. Plus, it also has a magnetic head that will stick to the side of the car while it flashes red emergency lights in case you break down on a dark road. How cool is that?!
Like I said, I’ve worked with some amazing people who are now forever friends. It was extremely bittersweet saying goodbye to everyone. I literally experienced a tornado of emotions – sadness, excitement, anxiety, happiness… It was challenging. However, I had to remind myself that I wasn’t actually saying “goodbye.” I was really saying “see you later,” or technically, “see you online.” That’s why I started this blog, to keep in touch with everyone and allow them to keep tabs on me and see where I end up. Thanks for following!
It’s going to be awesome Hun!!! Cheers to a new chapter!!
Thanks, Hun! CHEERS!!! 🙂 Excited to see how Queen Vision Entertainment progresses too! LOB for life!!!
Ahhhhhh this makes is so much more real! I’m sad 🙁
I know, right?! So bittersweet! I’m having slight withdrawals. Can’t wait to get together before I leave Cali altogether though.
